Jesus paid it all

Today the Proverbs 31 devotional was on grace. I look out my picture window and see the ground covered in wintery white. Thinking of grace, seeing snow, I am reminded of the lyrics to "Jesus Paid It All" by Elvina M. Hall. My life, as dark and dirty as the bare ground in winter has been robed in the beauty and perfection of Jesus.

Jesus Paid It All

# hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”

* Refrain:
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

# For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim;
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.
# And now complete in Him,
My robe, His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.
# Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.
# When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
“Jesus died my soul to save,”
Shall rend the vaulted skies.
# And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down,
All down at Jesus’ feet.

Bev,

First I LOVE, LOVE the hymn you posted...one of my favorites!!!

Second, thank you for stopping by my blog, sharing your story, and leaving such sweet words of encouragement. I think it is wonderful how God timed this devotional perfectly with your study. My prayer for you is that as you continue to dig into God's Word He will take you deeper still into His heart and give you ears to hear and eyes to see His marvelous plan for your life. I pray that He will make Himself so very real and speak into your life in clear and practical ways. May you know the fullness of His Peace and Presence.

Sweet Blessings,

Wendy

The title of your blog sparked my interest- as I grew up loving horses and have also ventured out to your wonderful state for many a family vacation. I read through all your thoughts- praying God's blessings be poured over your life out there in that wonderful wide open God's country.

I LOVE this hymn. Such sweet memories it holds.

Beverly, I came by to say THANK you for keeping me company at Kelly's place, on my guest post on REST.

I replied on the blog, but wanted to make sure you got it---

"This is very insightful, Beverly. That is the heart of the matter -- we are seeking acceptance & validation. And this online world leaves us hungry. Only our God can fill those cravings, that never end. "

If it triggers something of value, I want to invite you to take the "What If" Challenge today with me
